The Third Wheel (2017)


In November of 2017,

I was the Director of Photography for "The Third Wheel," an Ottonomous Production. The film follows "Micah," a young man whose anxiety is personified while he goes on a date with a girl who he feels is out of his league. We shot in The Manlius Art Cinema, a single screen theatre that has been around since the silent movie era.

I shot with the C100 mk II, and experimented with mixing color temperatures when lighting most scenes. I found that when exposing a subject to one temperature and the background to another, it really helps draw the eye to the subject.
